Pope Francis was not a shredder, but a thoughtful and harmonious player who had a style that could sooth, but also unsettle with stabs of truth and displeasure at what he rightfully saw as an unjust world.

He was a one of a kind player that will be greatly missed.

Roughly translated lyrics for "L'Aigle Noir":

One fine day, or perhaps one night,
Near a lake, I had fallen asleep.
When suddenly, seeming to pierce the sky,
And coming from nowhere,
A black eagle appeared.
Slowly, wings outstretched.
Slowly, I saw it circle.
Near me, with a rustle of wings.
As if fallen from the sky.
The bird came to land.
It had ruby-colored eyes.
And feathers the color of night.
On its forehead, shining with a thousand lights.
The crowned king bird.
Wearing a blue diamond.
With its beak, it touched my cheek.
Into my hand, it slid its neck.
It was then that I recognized it.
Emerging from the past.
It had come back to me.
Say bird, oh say, take me away.
Let's return to the land of yesteryear.
As before, in my childhood dreams.
To gather, trembling.
Stars, stars.
As before, in my dreams. of a child
As before, on a white cloud
As before, lighting the sun
Being a rainmaker
And working wonders
The black eagle with a rustle of wings
Took flight to return to the sky
One fine day or perhaps one night
Near a lake I had fallen asleep
When suddenly, seeming to pierce the sky
And coming from nowhere
A black eagle appeared
One fine day, or was it one night? Near a lake I had fallen asleep
When suddenly, seeming to pierce the sky
And coming from nowhere
A black eagle appeared
One fine day, one night
Near a lake, asleep
When suddenly
Appearing from nowhere
A black eagle appeared
One fine day, one night
Near a lake, asleep
When suddenly
He came from nowhere
The black eagle appeared
One fine day, one night
Near a lake, asleep
He came from nowhere
The black eagle appeared

i used to know someone who went to gabon with the peace corps. he fell in Love, married and made babies with a gabonese woman. it took several years for the us (mis)government to allow his children and wife to come over - one by one - even though all the kids had dual citizenship.
this was during reagan.
